"Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it: But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it." (Num. 14:23-24) When the twelve spies went to check out the Promised Land, they found it exactly as God had said; flowing with milk and honey. But, 3 million and ten of the people said, "We can't possess that land." Praise God, Joshua and Caleb stood up and said, "Yes we can. If God said it, we can do it!" Joshua and Caleb led the next generation of Israelites into the Promised Land, while the unbelieving children of Israel wondered around for forty years and eventually died in the wilderness. Notice, they all got what they believed and said. That same spiritual law applies to us the same way, today. God said Caleb had another spirit with him. What did that mean? Caleb had the same spirit of faith Paul talked about. "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak" (2 Cor. 4:13) We are a direct result of what we believe and what we say! Don't believe evil reports! Instead, hook up with God, agree with His Word, and walk in His blessings! Amber Vinson, a nurse who contacted Ebola while treating an Ebola patient, was declared Ebola-free, and in her news conference today, she gave the glory to God! She stated that 'it was so good to be well, and she believes with God, all things are possible!' I was filled with joy to her this young woman so boldly proclaim that God receive the Glory! Sometimes, in our own lives, we might feel like an outcast of sorts to speak so boldly about our faith. But, it is our faith that pleases God! May this nurse's testimony in front of a world-wide audience, encourage you to stand bold in your faith in Jesus Christ today and everyday, in ALL circumstances! "When they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus." (Acts 4:13) "To make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have BOLDNESS and ACCESS WITH CONFIDENCE, BY FAITH IN HIM." "And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward, and go up into the mountain: And see the land, what it is." (Numbers 13:17-18) God told the Israelites about a land flowing with milk and honey, so the twelve spies went top check it out. As they returned, they brought back a cluster of grapes so large it took two men to carry it! Those grapes looked good to the Israelites who had been drinking from a rock and eating manna from heaven for years. But, they remained in the desert. You will find many in the church like that today. They are content with just a little drink here and there and a "little" manna from heaven every now and then. They could move over into the promised land and enjoy the abundance of blessings Jesus sacrificed to give all believers, but they are satisfied where they are. The choice is yours! God doesn't force anything on anyone. I don't know about you, But I have a desire to move over into my promised land- the best God has for me! The Bible says the Israelites "could not enter because of unbelief" (Heb. 5:19) Whether you choose to move into your abundance or choose to just barely get along, depends on the extent to which yo believe God. That's why God says, "Without faith, you can't please me." (Heb.11:6) Choose to step into your promised land today! It's the abundant life that Jesus has provided for you! Painting and Testimony by our dear sister in CHRIST: Ruth Wright! Be blessed today is our prayer, Pastor Saylor.
John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth WILL set you free.
I had been a devoted Christian for 39 years but still struggling with condemnation. Wednesday evening I shared the testimony that I gave 3 years ago this month, and is still as exciting and true today, as it was 3 years ago.
A few months ago, God took me back to basic salvation 101. Seems most my Christian life I've had trouble living the promised "victorious" Christian life, and it was due to a wrong mind set. I didn't see myself as I really was "in Christ". I didn't see myself the way God sees me. I saw the negatives and that seemed to be my identity. (guilt, attitude, anger)
Then God allowed me to see what "in Christ," really means. Take a white piece of cloth and dip it in red dye, the cloth now identifies with the red dye. I am "in Christ," my identity is Christ, I am immersed in Him. We are immersed in Him.
TRUTH is: WE are the light of the world TRUTH is: WE are the salt of the earth TRUTH is: WE are holy saints who occasionally sin TRUTH is: WE are forgiven and CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN TRUTH is: We are born of God and Satan cannot touch WHO we are TRUTH is: We have authority over him
This is who we are, this is our identity. How can we be victorious if "who we are" isn't a reality to us? God took me back because He knew how important it is for me to know just WHO I AM, set me free from Satan's evil ways of deception, and for me to know I am his little girl, I am accepted, secure, significant and I AM FREE to live who HE says I am.
John 8:32 is so true.....You will know the truth, and the truth WILL set you free. ... See MoreSee Less
