Community Outreach: Wings of Hope Cancer Support Group has a new home...it's Liberty Chapel!!! Meeting for the past year at a local medical office, the LORD has tremendously blessed this outreach ministry and we ask for your continued support, encouragement and prayers as we reach out to those struggling with a cancer diagnosis with hope and healing through Jesus Christ!
Wings of Hope meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at 5 pm. Our first meeting at Liberty Chapel will be next Tuesday, October 28. All are welcome!
This month our featured speaker will be Melissa Copley, a breast cancer survivor. Her personal testimony will inspire you!
MELISSA COPLEY "To begin, let me give Glory to the Name of Jesus Christ. He is the Author and Finisher of my faith; the Alpha and Omega of my life. My name is Melissa Copley and God has blessed me with a rich heritage in ministry. My preparation for ministry has taken me through the fire as I am a cancer survivor and have seen many difficult times. I believe that with these trials Jesus brought me through with a purpose and they were stepping stones leading to my destiny to help others in need. Through it all, Jesus alone has always been my rescue and I love Him with all of my heart, mind, and soul. He has given me a powerful testimony of God’s favor upon my life. May Jesus richly and abundantly bless you!" ... See MoreSee Less
We are hearing, in my opinion, way to much about this plague called Ebola. So today, I would like to encourage you with truths from the Holy Scriptures. In Gal. 3:13 we see that "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law." We are redeemed from some wonderful things found in Deuteronomy 28:15-68, and I encourage you to read them for yourself. We can declare that none of these curses are coming near our dwelling place! I would also like to point out, that in verse 61 it says that "every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, the Lord will not put upon thee." Isn't that Good News! It doesn't matter what kind of disease or sickness they come up with, we are REDEEMED! If we understand that Christ has redeemed us, then we need to say so! "Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy." (Ps.107:2) We need to understand that just as faith comes by hearing the Word of God, fear comes by hearing anything that contradicts God's Word. We need to be very cautious of what we are allowing to go into our ears and our eyes! Discern to see if it be of God, or not of God! Job said in Job 3:25, "For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me." Our fears will come upon us. When we yield to the thoughts and fears of the enemy, we begin to believe and speak that instead of the promises of God. We must make up our minds what we are going to believe. Then, regardless of what's going on in the earth, we can say, "I AM REDEEMED from Ebola and every other curse that is in the earth!
